Internship Automation System Launched

The project titled "Development of an Automation System for the Establishment of Education Faculty Internship Laboratories and the Creation of an Online Application Community", supported by Marmara University Scientific Research Projects Commission, has been put into use in our department since the 2015-2016 academic season.

Within the scope of the project, an automation system was designed and developed to improve the School Experience and Teaching Practice courses carried out in our department. The following gains are expected to be achieved for all stakeholders of the Faculty-School collaboration with internship automation:

- To increase the interactive learning environment between prospective teachers, practice teachers and faculty instructors, who are the stakeholders of faculty-school cooperation,

- Transferring School Experience activities to the automation system and reporting the activities of teacher candidates electronically,

- Ensuring that teacher candidates can receive fast and effective feedback from faculty members,

- Creating a faculty model for School Experience and Teaching Practice courses,

- To provide faculty members with the opportunity to follow up teacher candidates more effectively,

- Taking part in peer evaluation in the automation system of shared activities and receiving online feedback,

- Ensuring that teacher candidates can enter new observations into the internship automation, write comments and discuss the published observations, and contribute to their evaluation by voting for them,

- To offer teacher candidates the opportunity to automatically create e-portfolios through the system for school experience and teaching practice activities.
